Enrollment As An Auditor Policy

Applies to: Individuals eligible to audit Pittsburg State University courses.

Policy:

Each individual wishing to audit a course must have permission from the instructor of the class. Permission must be obtained in writing using the Application to Audit form provided by the Registrar’s Office.  

  1. Auditors will be assessed with the full tuition rate appropriate for their enrollment and residency status.
  2. Auditors who are 60 years and older and benefits earning PSU employees may audit at no cost.
  3. If a class fee applies to the course, all auditors including Pittsburg State University employees and those 60 and older are required to pay this fee.
  4. Student Activity fees are not assessed, nor are campus privileges extended to auditors.
  5. All auditing enrollment is based on availability in the class and the instructor’s permission. It is the responsibility of the auditor to determine in advance the expectations of the instructor for the class.
  6. A grade of AU will be recorded as the final grade and add/drops for the class follow the standard academic calendar.
  7. Auditors must follow the student code of conduct and adhere to student guidelines and policies.
