Why Pitt State?

As a Pitt State student, you and your studies are our number one priority. The Division of Student Life is focused on providing support services to you! From the very first contact you have with the university through graduation and beyond, it is likely that many services within our division will support your success. However, even the best students don't study all the time, so when it's time to give the books a rest, there is plenty to do.

There are over 150 student-run clubs and organizations, organized around interests that range from Frisbee to music and fishing. Fraternities and sororities enliven campus life and students from 40 countries lend an international atmosphere to campus. Celebrations showcasing other cultures are popular campus events.

A lot of what happens on campus happens because students make it happen. Take an active role in campus life by checking out all of our registered student organization in our new software: Gorilla Engage. And nothing brings the campus community together quite like Gorilla Athletics. Football weekends, basketball games, track meets, baseball and softball games, and other sports events are much-anticipated highlights on the calendar.

We are excited that you have chosen Pittsburg State University! We hope the information organized here is useful in outlining the range of services available to you and in connecting you directly with those which can assist you in your success.

Best Wishes!
Dr. Steve Erwin
