About Institutional Research

Pittsburg State Institutional Research provides official, accurate, timely and unbiased information and analysis to facilitate evidence-based decision-making.

Institutional Research also prepares and submits official reports and data files to ensure the university's compliance with federal and state mandates. In addition, we answer a variety of internal and external requests to inform decisions related to university operations and our students and programs.

Much of the information we assemble and publish can be found in various reports or links below. However, if you need specific information or would like to contact us directly, please use this form:

Kansas Board of Regents

The Kansas Board of Regents is the governing board of Kansas’s six universities and the statewide coordinating board for Kansas’s 32 public higher education institutions. Each Academic Year the Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR) prepares the PSU Data Book. The 2022 PSU Data Book includes information related to Finance, Tuition and Fees, Students and Faculty and Staff. To assist in defining frequently used budgetary and demographic terms, a glossary is included at the end of the book.

College Navigator

PSU’s College Navigator page (presented by the National Center for Educational Statistics - NCES) contains the most recent information about Pittsburg State, our programs, and our enrollment.

Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS)

Institutional data collect through the Department of Education in the areas of enrollment, graduation rates, personnel, cost and financial aid, library resources, and institutional finances.

Common Data Set (CDS)

The Common Data Set (CDS) is a set of questions to collect the most commonly requested statistics about the colleges and universities. Because of the standard questions and definitions of the data, the CDS is widely used by college guidebook publishers and the general public. See commondataset.org for more information.
