Featured Program: Social Work Program

PSU's social work program is full of students who "want to help people." However, they quickly learn that a desire to help is an important spark, but it is not enough. Social work is a profession that draws from an evidence based practice knowledge base and is grounded in core values regarding service, the dignity and worth of all people, importance of human relationships, integrity, social justice, and competence. These values are at the core of the ethical standards which social workers uphold. Each course addresses the knowledge, skills, and values of the profession.
