The department offers Alternative Teaching Licensure programs in Special Education and Secondary Education. Certificates that lead to an endorsement to a teaching license in a variety of educational areas are available.

The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is the largest international professional organization dedicated to advancing the success of children and youth with disabilities and/or gifts and talents.
