Purpose: To outline the proper documentation, evaluation, and follow-up procedures following a crisis on campus.
Applies to: All visitors, students, faculty, and staff at Pittsburg State University.
Facts surrounding critical incidents and crises will be recorded and filed with the Office of the President. The University Attorney will maintain official files.
Evaluation of crisis responses and critical incidents will be conducted by the Crisis Response Coordinating Team (Executive Policy Group) under the direction of the President after a critical incident is concluded.
The Student Health Center and University Counseling Center will coordinate physical and psychological support and counseling and spiritual referral to faculty, staff, students and others in need of assistance as a result of a crisis.
