Graduate Exchange Student Policy

Policy:

Under the partnership with the students’ home college/university, students do not pay tuition and fees at PSU. To be admitted into the exchange program, students:

  • must be admitted to a degree program
  • must submit an official TOEFL with a minimum score required by the degree program prior to receiving I-20
  • will be admitted to the exchange program for one semester
  • can enroll in a maximum of 12 hours of graduate level courses and additional hours of undergraduate course work as appropriate
  • can remain at the University to complete their degree based on paying out-of-state tuition and fee costs with the written approval of the student’s home country university

When the PSU Schedule of Classes allows, students required to complete 12 or more hours of undergraduate foundation coursework may be allowed to complete up to two semesters in the Exchange Student Program. These students must be enrolled in their required foundation courses and no more than 12 graduate/candidacy hours for the two semesters combined.
