Unlock the power of music and transform lives by becoming a music educator. A Music Education emphasis prepares students to teach and supervise music in school settings ranging from preschool to high school.
Music education students work towards State of Kansas certification in K-12 schools. In addition to in-depth study in the student's major applied area, the program provides comprehensive coursework in the various aspects of music education: conducting, teaching methods, and development of proficiency in woodwind, brass, string, piano, voice, and percussion instruments.
