Prepare yourself for a new way of approaching general education. At PSU we are providing an interdisciplinary perspective to your learning experience to prepare you to be a more globally aware and engaged member of tomorrow’s workforce.
If you are transferring 12 or more hours, earned in one semester after your high school graduation, then you are entering PSU under the 2020-21, or previous year, catalog. Your general education courses and Pitt State degree audit are established at the point you apply for admission and have transcripts sent from previous college(s).
If you have completed fewer than 12 hours or all of your transfer credit was earned while still in high school, you will complete the Pitt State Pathway.
Review the all baccalaureate course listing by PSP code to identify courses that are the best suited for you and the major you plan to pursue. Our Transfer Equivalency Guidelines provide course equivalency information for many universities and colleges in the region.
To map out your long-term plan for completing the Pitt State Pathway, check out the Academic Advising Planning document. This, along with the Pathway course listing by category, will assist you in choosing appropriate courses.
It is important to have your official college transcripts sent from all colleges you have attended. Once your transcripts are evaluated, you will receive information on how to access your unofficial transcript and PSU degree audit. Your degree audit will include general education courses appropriate for your PSU catalog.
We are here to help you prepare for transferring to Pitt State including helping you identify how your credits will apply to your degree program. The schedule of classes will help you identify the time, course delivery type, and availability of the courses that interest you.
Transfer students considering moving to 2021-22 catalog should consult with a PSU academic advisor.
