The FSRTC is a professional development conference dedicated to helping teachers succeed in the classroom. Through hands-on workshops, engaging presentations, and collaborative opportunities, educators gain practical tools, fresh ideas, and innovative strategies to enhance student learning and classroom success.
The FSRTC has a long standing tradition of supporting classroom teachers through professional development opportunities. The conference is designed to provide teachers with solutions to challenges they face in the classroom, new perspectives and ideas to improve their student's knowledge and skills.
These solutions and ideas can include instructional techniques, organization and management applications, innovations in materials, tools and machines, instructional supplements such as textbooks, collaboration with other teachers and professors, promoting programs, how to work with administrations, state guidelines and policies, and funding as a few examples.
The conference meets the second Thursday and Friday in October. It provides workshops, presentations, tours, and social events which are all designed to improve the ability of a classroom teacher to be more successful in the classroom, improve student learning and abilities.

"Preparing Professionals to Teach Technology & Engineering Principles"
The problem solving competition challenges teams from TEECA chapters to develop a solution to a specific problem using provided tools and materials. Teams must also bring additional items listed in the official guide.
The robotics competition tasks teams with fabricating or modifying a robot to complete a specific challenge. Robots may be autonomous, remote-controlled, or both, and can be built on platforms like Mindstorms, Vex, Tetrix, Gears, or custom designs.
This live competition promotes the study of production technology. Teams must design, document, fabricate, and implement a continuous manufacturing system to produce an assigned product. Evaluation includes safety, craftsmanship, documentation, and product quality.
Teams create an industry-quality video commercial promoting an assigned product, service, or organization. Work includes researching, developing a storyboard, and producing the final commercial within contest guidelines.
The Technology Challenge Contest measures knowledge of core concepts in technology education, including curriculum, instruction, and assessment. The Teaching Lesson Contest evaluates a student or team’s ability to plan and deliver an engaging lesson on a provided technological topic.
TEECA promotes leadership, fellowship, and professionalism for future technology and engineering educators. Members develop skills through hands-on projects, scholarship, and participation in TSA, ITEEA, and TEECA events.
TEECA students are pre-service educators preparing to teach CTE, STEM, and Technology & Engineering Education. FSRTC gives them valuable opportunities to grow professionally, connect with educators and vendors, and contribute fresh ideas—while also assisting with conference operations.

Registration cost includes admission to all Conference Sessions and Presentations, access to Exhibitor booths throughout the conference. On Thursday and Friday, donut's coffee and juice will be provided in the morning, a Mall Deli sandwiches will be provided on Thursday and a Chicken lunch will be included from one of the local chicken restaurants.
