Online EdS Degree in Advanced Studies in Leadership with an Emphasis in Career and Technical Education

Direct or coordinate Career and Technical Education programs in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics at the secondary or post-secondary level.

Candidates for the degree must hold a master’s degree in a CTE or technical field in addition to the requirements for the specialist degree.

To earn the EdS degree you must complete one of two options:

  • Research and Specialist Thesis
  • Special Research Project
Leadership Courses required to complete the degree include:
  • Educational Leadership Policy and Practice 
  • Legal Foundations of Public Education 
  • Organizational Theory and Planning
  • Change Processes and Professional Development
  • Grant Writing and External Resources
