How to become a biology teacher

The Biology Education emphasis track prepares students to teach biology at the high school level. Gain critical knowledge and skills in general science, advanced biology, and valuable teaching methods that can improve student lives.

Student teaching is a key component of Biology Education. For a full semester, our students work in a real-world classroom setting, under the supervision of a licensed teacher. Upon completion of the student teaching experience, students will be eligible for licensure.
