  • Assistance and Training for Faculty: Canvas, Zoom, Vidgrid, Respondus, Turnitin, and more!

You can use Canvas on Windows, Mac & Linux.  Below are current recommendations from Canvas for computer specifications and supported browsers:

What are the basic computer specifications for Canvas?

Which browsers does Canvas support?

You can access Canvas from any browser on your iOS or Android device. However, for the best user experience, you should view Canvas via the mobile app for your device. Mobile browsers are not supported by Canvas.

The login for Canvas can be found on the GUS Portal. Click on the Canvas icon and log in with your PSU credentials.

Students can become familiar with the basic functions of Canvas through the Canvas 101 Tutorial for Students. This link will require you to log into Canvas. Students who have reviewed the tutorial but need additional assistance can contact the Gorilla Geeks (geeks@pittstate.edu) to schedule a time for personalized help.

Please note that instructors have great flexibility in the design and setup of each course in Canvas. Some instructors may choose not to use Canvas. Therefore, students may not find every course they are enrolled in available in the Canvas course list. Each instructor can determine the program features and organization of their courses.

Also, instructors are able to select when courses will become available in Canvas. Even though students have enrolled, the courses will not be visible to students until the instructors “publish” the courses.
