Willard Hall

About Willard Hall

Named in honor of temperance activist Frances Willard, this hall was constructed in 1924 and underwent an extensive renovation in 2000. Willard houses about 107 residents and has ADA rooms available. Willard Hall is open for both upperclassmen and underclassman; this includes returning students, new students and new freshman.

The historic hall features suite-style rooms. Single and double occupancy rooms are offered with either individual bathroom facilities or bathrooms shared between two rooms.  Rooms with shared bathrooms also have sinks within the individual rooms. There are also triple-room configurations. Willard Hall offers high-speed Internet for all residents, separate study (include several tables and chairs with a dry erase board for group work) and entertainment lobby areas, and a laundry room.

Located on the southern edge of campus, Willard Hall is just steps away from the Bryant Student Health Center, Gibson Dining Hall, Sharon Kay Dean Recital Hall and Carnie Smith Stadium.

Overman Student Center just steps away

One of the best things about living on campus is ... living on campus! All of Pittsburg State's residence halls are within walking distance of the incredible Overman Student Center. The living room of the university, the Overman Student Center offers you access to amazing food at the Gorilla Crossing or  Einstein's Bagels. You can enjoy live entertainment at the U-Club, listen to amazing speakers in the Crimson and Gold Ballroom, watch a movie in the mini-movie theater, shop for the latest Pitt State gear in the Barnes & Noble bookstore or just relax with your friends in one of our the many study areas.

The Overman Student Center is also home to the Campus Activities Center and Student Government Association. There's so much to see and do and it's all just steps away when you live on campus.

Campus community

Living on campus is about more than just having a place to sleep and hang out. It's about the experience. It's about being a part of the campus community. It's about waking up and walking to anywhere you need to be. It's about the feeling of knowing you're always around friends. It's about being here ... and living the collegiate experience.
