Secret Codes Camp
A transformative summer program designed to enhance reading skills and prevent reading failure.
Secret Codes Camp is open to all children who want to get a jump start learning to read or who are struggling to learn to read.
Dates: June 3 - July 25, 2024
Days: Mondays through Thursdays
Session Duration: One 50-minute session per day
Curriculum
The camp utilizes the cutting-edge Secret Codes curriculum, a science-based approach developed to instill strong foundational reading skills.
Child-Friendly Environment
Instructors are trained on Secret Codes concepts and teaching methods. Class sessions are designed to be fun and engaging for children.
Outcomes
Address the challenges of the English writing system. Students become competent readers by mastering the essentials of reading.
Daily Schedule
Each day comprises one 50-minute session, beginning with whole-group instruction and followed by individual practice. The Secret Codes curriculum, proven effective for both beginning and struggling readers, will be condensed into an eight-week intensive program.

Fees
- Cost: Materials $100 + Tuition $400 = $500
- Installment Plan: Qualifying participants can opt for four weekly installments of $125 starting on May 20.

- Class sizes are limited to ten (10) students for in-person sessions.
- Please complete the application, sign, and send to READing@pittstate.edu
- Register by May 20, 2024 to ensure timely receipt of materials.
Who is this event for? Children
Online Participation
To participate online, students need a device with a webcam and internet access. Please be mindful of bandwidth during Zoom sessions to ensure a smooth learning experience.
Class sizes are limited to four (4) for online instruction.
