Senior –level Biology majors will perform at or above National and peer-group norms on the MFT examination in all of the following biology content areas.
  • Cell Biology
  • Molecular Biology and Genetics
  • Organismal Biology
  • Population Biology, Evolution, and Ecology

  • Knows the primary sources of information in his/her area;
  • Has the ability to utilize primary sources;
  • Uses instrumentation, equipment, and other applications of his/her field;
  • Designs and implements a scientific investigation;
  • Prepares a thesis or report that summarizes his/her work; and
  • Verbally communicates the results of research.
