Making Content You Have Created in MS Office Accessible

Web Accessible Evaluation Tool (WAVE)

WAVE is a suite of evaluation tools that helps authors make their web content more accessible to individuals with disabilities. WAVE can identify many accessibility and Web Content Accessibility Guideline (WCAG) errors and also facilitates human evaluation of web content. Our philosophy is to focus on issues that we know impact end-users, facilitate human evaluation, and to educate about web accessibility.

How To Use the Accessibility Checker in the Canvas Rich Content Editor

The Rich Content Editor includes an accessibility tool in Canvas that Instructors use that checks common accessibility errors within the editor. This tool can help you design course content while considering accessibility attributes and is located in the Rich Content Editor menu bar.

This tool only verifies content created within the Rich Content Editor. You may also use other accessibility tools to verify additional content in Canvas.

The Kansas Accessibility Resources Network (KSARN)

The Kansas Accessibility Resources Network (KSARN), is an accessibility initiative of Wichita State University in partnership with Kansas State University, Johnson County Community College, Butler Community College, and Cowley County Community College. You will find FREE online, on-demand courses to serve the accessibility training needs of any student, instructor, or interested staff member in higher education at the KSARN web page.
