Recipients will be honored at the College of Education Recognition Ceremony on Monday, December 11, 2017, at 9:00 a.m. in the Linda and Lee Scott Performance Hall of the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts on the campus at Pittsburg State University. The College of Education Distinguished Service Award is given to outstanding administrators or educators whose career has been highlighted by significant achievement and excellence in education.
The College of Education at Pittsburg State University serves over 1500 majors in a variety of programs offered in the three departments that comprise the college. These departments include the following: Health, Human Performance and Recreation, Psychology and Counseling, and Teaching and Leadership.
The mission of the College of Education is to prepare competent, committed, caring professionals, provide services to the various communities of which we are a part, and expand the body of knowledge through research and dissemination activities.
