Required Immunizations

Students attending Pittsburg State University may be required to provide proof of certain immunizations in accordance with university and public health guidelines. Failure to submit required documentation may result in a hold that could affect enrollment or housing eligibility.

Measles, Mumps & Rubella (MMR)

All newly enrolled freshman, transfer, graduate, and international students born on or after January 1, 1957, must provide proof of two (2) MMR vaccinations administered at least 28 days apart. These vaccinations are typically received between one and five years of age. A history of measles, mumps, or rubella alone is not sufficient for compliance unless accompanied by documentation of a positive blood titer.

Meningitis

All newly enrolled Pittsburg State University students living in university-owned group housing are required to receive a meningitis vaccination within the past five (5) years. If the vaccination was received more than five years ago, a booster dose is required.
