The Department of Chemistry's Bachelor of Science Degree with a Major in Chemistry and Emphasis in Pre-Medicine/Pre-Medical Profession provides students with a rigorous chemistry curriculum coupled with courses that provide the students the prerequisites required for acceptance into the majority of medical schools in the country, including both allopathic (MD) and osteopathic (DO) medical paths.

The major also encompasses prerequisites required for other healthcare fields, including:

  • Physician Assistant
  • Physical Therapy
  • Dentistry
  • Chiropractic medical programs
