Presidential Emerging Leaders Program

The Presidential Emerging Leaders Program is designed to help students develop the confidence, skills, and mindset needed to become effective leaders on campus and beyond. This program is ideal for students with little or no prior leadership experience who are interested in growing personally, building meaningful connections, and learning how to positively influence others.

Application is open to all students

Through interactive workshops, group discussions, mentorship, and hands-on experiences, participants will explore topics such as communication, teamwork, self-awareness, problem-solving, goal setting, and community engagement. Students will also have opportunities to practice leadership in supportive, low-pressure environments while building relationships with peers, faculty, and campus leaders.

The program emphasizes that leadership is not about holding a title — it is about learning how to serve others, collaborate effectively, and make a difference in everyday situations. By the end of the program, participants will leave with greater confidence, stronger interpersonal skills, and a clearer understanding of their own leadership potential.

Commitment

Students selected as Presidential Emerging Leaders will meet once a week on Thursdays from 2:00 – 2:50 pm during the Fall semester.
