Originally from Mexico City, Professor Isaac Hernandez graduated with honors with his Bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance from the National Autonomous University in Mexico City, Mexico. As a performer, Isaac has performed as soloist with numerous orchestras including the Campeche Symphonic Orchestra, the Symphonic orchestra of Hidalgo State University, the Southeast Kansas Symphony and the Pittsburg State University Wind Ensemble, among others.
In 2021, Isaac won first place in the Graduate level competition hosted by the Kansas Music Teacher's Association. In 2023, he was the first prize winner of the piano competition hosted by Treble Clef organization in Pittsburg, Kansas.
While completing his M.M. in Piano Performance at PSU, Isaac worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant where he taught piano lessons, and accompanied numerous graduate, undergraduate, and faculty recitals, performances. and competitions.
In addition to his busy schedule teaching class piano, piano lessons, and accompanying numerous ensembles and soloists at Pittsburg State University Isaac serves as an adjunct piano instructor at Cottey College in Nevada, MO.
