Nicholas Sweisberger

Master Sergeant Nicholas J. Sweisberger was born and raised in Sioux City, IA. He enlisted in the Army in 2009 and graduated from OSUT at Fort Benning with the MOS of 11B - Infantryman.

Previous to becoming the Senior Military Science Instructor for the Gorilla Battalion, he was the 1SG for 1st Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment and 1st Battalion, 63rd Armor Regiment - both at Fort Riley, Kansas. His other prior duty stations include Fort Leonard Wood, Fort Bragg, Fort Campbell and Schofield Barracks.

MSG Sweisberger deployed to Afghanistan in 2013 for six months and served a year-long tour in Iraq in 2010.

MSG Sweisberger has graduated from Drill Sergeant School, Airborne School and Air Assault School. He is a graduate of WLC, ALC, SLC and MLC, and earned his Master Combat Infantry Badge, Drill Sergeant Badge and Driver Badge (wheel and track). Awards include MSM-2, ARCOM-7, AAM-8, AGCM-5, NDSM, ACM, ICM, KDSM, NATO Medal and Overseas Ribbon-3.

His hobbies include hunting, fishing, weightlifting and any sport one of his three daughters is participating in. He also watching sports, supporting the Cubs, San Francisco 49ers and Iowa Hawkeyes.
