Since 2005, PSU has had a unique opportunity to offer undergraduate coursework on the campus of the Comité Paraguay Kansas (CPK) in Asuncion, Paraguay. These general education courses are taught in English and cover a variety of disciplines.
The program would not be possible without the support and excitement of the PSU faculty. Please scroll below to find out more.
PSU offers 9 class sessions every year between March and November and each class session is three hours a day for three weeks. Classes are held in English and Paraguayan students are able to have an American classroom experience and receive PSU college credit. Classes cover a wide variety of disciplines with the intent of students continuing their studies at PSU or another university in Kansas.
Instructors receive compensation for teaching the class, airfare, housing, international health insurance, and a per diem for food. Lodging is arranged by the Comite Paraguay Kansas (CPK) and is in the same building as the classroom. Since classes are held in the afternoon, faculty are encouraged to take family and use the other time to enjoy the culture of Asunción Paraguay.
