Call for Part-time Adjuncts - University Supervisors of Student Teachers

Position Description

The Office of Teacher Education is seeking to create a pool of individuals interested in part-time temporary University Supervisors of Student Teachers.  These positions require a master’s degree in Education, as well as successful classroom and/or administrative experience in a P-12 setting. Experience as a Mentor Teacher is preferred. Duties include observation and evaluation of Student Teachers during their Professional Semester experience, data collection, collaboration with PSU Education faculty and Cooperating Classroom Teachers, and evaluation of key assessments such as the Professional Portfolio and Teacher Work Sample.  Training is required and will be conducted prior to the start of each semester.  These positions are non-tenure track positions and are renewable each semester based on needs of the College.  Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until all positions are filled.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master's Degree in an Education related area required.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills required.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to work with a learning management system (Canvas).
  • Successful classroom and/or administrative experience in a P-12 setting.
