Building the future of business education

To remain the region’s top business school, the Kelce College of Business needs a modern, welcoming facility that supports real-world learning, collaboration, business engagement, and inspires innovation and entrepreneurship.

The Kelce College of Business has outgrown its outdated home. Built in 1950 as a high school, the building was repurposed in the 1970s and now serves over 1,000 business students each semester. A recent campus study highlighted critical space and facility needs that must be addressed to continue delivering high-quality business education.
Gorilla Rising will create:

  • flexible classrooms to accommodate modern teaching
  • seminar rooms for advanced undergraduate and MBA courses
  • team rooms for student collaboration and group projects
  • an electronic classroom for courses requiring student access to online resources
  • meeting spaces for student organizations
  • offices for graduate assistants, student organization leaders, and visiting executives
  • a board room for advisory groups and faculty meetings
  • additional faculty offices and departmental spaces to accommodate growth
  • public presentation and gathering spaces

Expanding impact through innovation and outreach

The college also needs more space to grow its outreach in business and economic development. The new building, located on Broadway among a thriving business community, will create valuable connections for students, faculty, staff, and business leaders. Shared spaces will host small conferences, workshops, and public programs, expanding the college’s impact far beyond the classroom.
