The Applied Physiology Laboratory (APL) at Pittsburg State University is an educational center focused on preparing students in the Exercise Science program for careers in health and fitness fields, including Physical and Occupational Therapists, Physicians, and various certified specialists. The APL conducts performance testing on athletes and collaborates with the Exercise Science program to facilitate certifications through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). Since June 2007, it has been recognized as an NSCA Education Recognition program.
