Associated General Contractors

The AGC is a leading association in the construction industry, representing contractors and construction-related firms in the United States. The student chapter attends conferences, learning about the latest construction technology and techniques. Members are eligible for scholarships.

International Construction Honor Society provides recognition to outstanding students in construction curricula. Sigma Lambda Chi is the society that offers students the opportunity to be recognized locally and internationally for their academic accomplishments as a construction major.

MCA Student Chapter at Pitt State clinch national win and $20,000 prize.

School of Construction students emerged as champions in the “Final Four” MCAA Student Chapter Competition in Phoenix, Arizona, hosted by the Mechanical Contractors Association of America.

The challenge: install three 1000-ton cooling towers, six 6000-mbh boilers, a sewer heat recovery system, heat exchangers, pumps, piping, and supporting infrastructure as part of a new energy facility that would heat and cool several buildings on the National Western Center campus.
