Allen, a PSU grad, will present a free Tuba recital. Allen Parrish is Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Louisiana Monroe where he serves as the Director of Athletic Bands. Parrish directs the "Sound of Today" marching band, the "Technical Fowls" basketball pep band, the Symphonic and Concert Bands, in addition to other duties within the School of Visual and Performing Arts. He holds a B.M. in Music Education from Troy University, an M. Mus. in Tuba Performance from Pittsburg State University, and a D.M.A. in Tuba Performance and Pedagogy from The University of Southern Mississippi.
