Event details

What began in 1979 as a streetcorner gamble to get noticed and signed by a major record label turned into a Grammy-nominated success story for Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet — known collectively as Trout Fishing in America.

Now with their own label and 25 albums to their credit — including “Safe House,” which dropped in April — the touring singer songwriters will perform in Pittsburg at 7 p.m., thanks to an ongoing partnership with Olive Street Presents, a local house concert non-profit owned by Rob Poole and Carol Puckett.

Trout Fishing draws inspiration from childhoods spent listening to top-40 AM radio and season their music with stylings from rock and roll, blues, folk, country, bluegrass, funk, Latin, and reggae.

This performance is in partnership with Olive Street Presents. Tickets will be sold online at olivestreetpresents.org — not through the PSU Ticket Office. All seating general admission. $20 advance tickets, $25 day of show and at the door. Doors open at 6 PM and music begins at 7PM.
