Family Events
Join us for Family Fun Day for Kids 2024 at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14th before cheering on the Gorillas as they play Emporia State! Family Fun Day for Kids includes educational activities for children and their parents/guardians, a gift, and a meal voucher for the child.
Gorilla Gatherings
A Gorilla Gathering is an event meant to bring alumni and constituents together. Our goal is to bring Pittsburg State University to you wherever you might be! These events occur throughout the year and in a variety of locations
GorillaFest
GorillaFest is the official PSU tailgate prior to all home football games. Admission is free. Join other fans three hours prior to kick-off in Gorilla Village, east of Carnie Smith Stadium
Half-Century Reunion
Class of 1975, join us for your 50-year reunion! We invite you and your spouse/guest to celebrate this milestone anniversary May 15-16, 2025!
Additionally, we are hosting members of the 55 and 60-year classes back on campus. This includes the classes of 1965 and 1970.
Homecoming
Join us for an unforgettable homecoming celebration, "Gorilla of the Century," filled with regal crowning of royalty, thrilling Gorilla football action, a vibrant parade, fierce student club competitions, and heartwarming alumni reunions.
Taste of Pittsburg
Kick-off Homecoming weekend at the 12th Annual Taste of Pittsburg – a homecoming tradition favorite! Enjoy samples from your favorite restaurants, live music from pianist and singer, Todd East, and a special recognition of the Kenneth K. Bateman Outstanding Alumni Award recipients.
Great Gorilla Tour
2,915 miles, 15 days, 9 cities, 6 states, and 103 alumni and friends – these are just a few stats from our recent Great Gorilla Tour: 2023 Edition. Gus Gorilla, former Director Jon Bartlow, and Assistant Director Bethanne Elliott visited alumni and friends during a two-week road trip.
