Overview


The Department of Technology and Workforce Learning offers a Human Resource Minor, which is open to all Pittsburg State University students. The focus of this program is developing individuals to work in the area of workforce development through training and other types of interventions. Courses approved for this minor have objectives that range from meeting specific skills and knowledge needed to work in the human resource environment to courses that will benefit all individuals entering the workforce. All of the course for this minor are available online with several courses also offered in the classroom. Students are encouraged not to wait until the end of the studies to begin taking the courses required for the Human Resource Minor, as not all courses are available every semester.

About Technology and Workforce Learning Department


The Department of Technology and Workforce Learning includes several undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Programs of study include two-year associate and certificate programs as well as several undergraduate degree programs in Workforce Development, Vocational Teacher Education, Technology and Engineering Education, and Wood Product Manufacturing.  Graduate programs in Career and Technical Education, Technology, and Human Resource Development are also available.  In addition, one post-graduate program in Workforce Development and Education (Ed.S) is also available.
