Direct or coordinate Career and Technical Education programs in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics at the secondary or post-secondary level.

Candidates for the degree must hold a master’s degree in a CTE or technical field in addition to the requirements for the specialist degree.

To earn the EdS degree you must complete one of two options:

  1. Research and Specialist Thesis
  2. Special Research Project

Leadership Courses required to complete the degree include:

  1. Educational Leadership Policy and Practice 
  2. Legal Foundations of Public Education 
  3. Organizational Theory and Planning
  4. Change Processes and Professional Development
  5. Grant Writing and External Resources

    *Cost per credit hour and total tuition is based on 2022-2023 academic year tuition rates , master's program option, and assuming all coursework is completed online in the 2022-2023 academic year. Cost per credit hour and total tuition will vary if studies span over one or more academic year.
