Earn a Bachelor's in Political Science with a Pre-law emphasis. This program prepares students for graduate-level legal training.

The curriculum is shaped by the recommendations of the Law School Admissions Council.

Beyond academic coursework, the program teaches students best practices on how to apply for law school.

3+3 Partnership Program: Pittsburg State and Washburn University

Pitt State partners with Washburn University School of Law. Complete a PSU degree and a Washburn law degree in 6 total years. Prospective students interested in the program should contact Dr. Darren Botello-Samson, the PSU pre-law coordinator.

Law Early Admission Program (LEAP)

Highly qualified students complete their PSU degree requirements in 3 years and then gain early admission to Washburn Law.

Financially, students benefit by saving a year’s worth of PSU tuition and fees.

Students accepted into LEAP are guaranteed a minimum tuition scholarship of $5,000 per year at Washburn Law.

Increase your job prospects with Criminal Justice. 

Our students often integrate criminal justice courses into their class schedules. Learn about legal topics like law enforcement, the legal system, courts, and corrections.
