About the New Degree Audit

The new Degree Audit tool is available through your GUS Portal and gives you a real-time view of your progress toward graduation. Use it to check completed requirements, see what's still needed, and explore "what-if" scenarios for changing your major.

How to Access and Run Your Audit

  1. Log in to GUS Portal at gus.pittstate.edu using your PSU credentials.

  2. Search for "Degree Audit New" in the portal search bar and open the tool.

  3. Choose your audit type. Run a standard audit to see your current progress, or select Run What-If Audit to explore how a change in major or catalog year would affect your requirements.

  4. Read your results. The left panel shows your student info card — degree, major, minor, credits, and GPA. The right panel shows your Graduation, Major, and Minor requirement statuses.

  5. Review Required Coursework. Scroll down to see the blue/gray requirement bars. Each bar summarizes completed vs. remaining areas — click any bar to expand it for course-level detail.

  6. Generate or print a PDF of your audit using the "Generate PDF" button within the tool. Multiple formatting options are available.
