49th Annual Pittsburg State University Jazz Festival: Student Concerts

The festival is an all-day event where community college, high school, junior high and middle school jazz ensembles compete throughout the day. These student daytime concerts are at no cost and are free to the public. They are at both the Bicknell Center and at Pittsburg’s Memorial Auditorium.

The day will finish with a concert at 7:30 p.m. at Pittsburg’s Memorial Auditorium with both the PSU Jazz Ensemble and featured artists Wycliffe Gordon and the Wycliffe Gordon Quartet. This portion of the day is a ticketed event.

The PSU Jazz Ensemble evening concert featuring the Wycliffe Gordon Quintet is a ticketed event. 

Tickets will be available beginning January 17th at the PSU Ticket Office in the Garfield Weede Building, 1701 S. Homer, Room 137 or by calling (620) 235-4796. They may also be purchased at the door the evening of the concert. 

Adults $16.00 

Free for full-time PSU students with proper ID 

PSU Faculty & Staff with proper ID: 65  & Over/17 and Under; current military & veterans* $11.00 

A valid military ID card, ‘CAC’ that has not expired or a Uniformed Services ID card (Retiree ID) or a form DD 214 is required
