The purpose of the Kelce College of Business (COB) is to provide students with academic guidance as they strive to meet COB admission requirements and plan an educational course to meet career goals.
The College of Business (COB) Steps to Academic Advising was created to assist COB students as they go through their college career and business studies. The information in this guide will help students understand the role of the College of Business Academic Advising Center and the faculty advisors.
It is important for students to meet regularly with an advisor. The guidelines below will provide COB majors with the required advisement process.

All students who have chosen a business major, but have not met the requirements to be officially admitted into the College of Business, are required to meet with the Kelce Advising Center advisor or a peer advisor at least one time per semester. Prior to the pre-registration period each semester, students must take the following steps:
Please note, additional appointments may be necessary for discussion regarding your major, career plans, or other topics related to your degree.
After students have been officially admitted to the College of Business a notice is sent from the Academic Advising Office with the necessary steps to the complete the process. After completion of the required admission forms, the student is given a letter of acceptance that includes the name and location of the newly appointed faculty advisor. All COB majors are required to meet with their faculty advisor at least one time per semester. Prior to the pre-registration period each semester, students must take the following steps:
Students should use the online Degree Audit to select classes and monitor degree progress. The Degree Audit is located within the individual GUS account and provides a complete list of all courses required to complete the student's chosen degree.
