London theater trip open to the public

The Pittsburg State University Department of Communication announced recently that it will host a 2016 spring break London theater trip that is open to the community, as well as students and faculty. The trip, which will take place March 12-19, 2016, will be led by instructor Linden Little.

The travel package includes round-trip airfare from Tulsa to London, six nights’ accommodation at a three-star hotel, daily breakfasts, two dinners, London Tube passes, guided motor coach tours, and tickets to three theater productions. Additionally, the program includes an excursion to the ancient Roman baths and Stonehenge.

During the day, travelers will visit Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, tour the theater collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum, and receive a backstage look at the National Theatre Complex.

In addition, travelers will have several chances for independent sightseeing. The cost of the full travel package is slightly over $3,000. Those interested in receiving college credit may enroll in a one-hour course tied to the program.
