PSU hosts American Chemical Society meeting

Some of the region’s top scientists will gather at Pittsburg State University this week for a discussion of recent research findings.

The 2015 American Chemical Society’s 60th Pentasectional Meeting will take place April 10 and 11 at the PSU Kansas Technology Center. The Pentasectional meeting brings together scientists from Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma, who meet to share their research findings.

The keynote speaker at the meeting is Sara Risch, principal in the consulting firm of Science By Design, which she founded in 1993. She works with food and packaging companies as well as those in related industries, giving technical assistance in product development, packaging, and regulatory issues.

The two-day conference includes presentations from scientists at Pittsburg State, Oklahoma State, Oral Roberts University and other regional universities.
