Professor receives Kansas HR award

The Kansas State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management announced that Pittsburg State Professor Robert Schwindt received the 2014 Trombold Achievement and Kansas HR Professional of the Year Award.

The award recognizes outstanding achievement in the field of human resource management and community leadership. Schwindt, professor of human resource development in Pitt State’s Technology and Workforce Learning department, said he was “shocked” by the honor.

“I was very surprised, to say the least,” he said. “I appreciate it very much. I also would encourage everyone to get involved in their local and state professional organizations. They are great resources for networking and professional development.”

Schwindt, who has been on PSU's faculty since 1987, accepted the award at the Kansas SHRM Conference in Wichita.
