Fiesta Carnival planned for Saturday

Pittsburg State University will observe Family Day on Saturday, Sept. 27, with a nod to Hispanic Heritage Month. The Office of Alumni and Constituent Relations, with the Campus Activity Center and the Office of Student Diversity, will host a Fiesta Carnival, “Dia de la Familia Fiesta,” from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. in Gorilla Village, just east of Carnie Smith Stadium.

The free event will include live music, carnival booths, games and prizes.

Organizers said they expect the combination of perfect weather, lots of Gorilla families on campus and a packed stadium will make this one of the biggest days of the year in Gorilla Village.

For more information, contact the Office of Alumni and Constituent Relations at 620-235-4758.
