Annual photography seminar set for Friday/Saturday

Photographers, students of photography and photo enthusiasts will all feel at home at Pittsburg State University’s 12th annual Perspectives of Photography Seminar, Shoot-Out & Photo Competition, April 11-12, in the Kansas Technology Center on the PSU campus.

The event, sponsored by the PSU Student Association of Photographers and MPIX, brings more than a dozen professionals to lead workshops on everything from lighting for engagement and wedding photos, studio lighting and posing, sports photography and beginning Photoshop, to making the transition from photography to videography.

Workshops begin Friday afternoon, continue through Friday evening and run all day Saturday.

Organizers say the annual event is planned and presented by the members of the Student Association of Photographers and is used as a fundraiser for scholarships and photographic enrichment activities.

The cost to participate is $49 for high school and college students and faculty and $99 for the public.
