Winter weather updates

Update: Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 10:50 am.

Pittsburg State University will resume night classes and normal campus operations at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26, 2013.

"Our crews have been working diligently throughout the morning to clear parking lots and sidewalks," said PSU President Steve Scott.  "It's a credit to the hard work of our employees that we are able to reopen so quickly."


Update: Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 5:30 am.

Early this morning, Tuesday, Feb. 26, Pittsburg State University officials declared a State of Inclement Weather and closed the campus to all but those employees deemed essential under the university’s inclement weather policy. There will be no classes or operations during the day; a decision on classes held after 5 p.m. will be made later in the day.

Update: Monday, Feb. 25 at 4:55 pm.

Due to the forecast of developing winter weather, Pittsburg State University is suspending night classes at 6:30 this evening, Monday, February 25, 2013.
Other operations will remain open as scheduled as conditions allow.
Campus officials are monitoring weather conditions and will make a final determination on Tuesday's class schedule by 6 a.m. tomorrow.
