Pittsburg State University launched a new crop of graduates into the world with its winter commencement ceremony on Friday, Dec. 18. More than 580 undergraduate and graduate students were eligible to participate in the ceremony.
PSU hosts wheelchair basketball tournament

With some of the top ranked teams in the country, the 2nd Annual Mt. Carmel Medical Equipment Gorilla Invitational Wheelchair Basketball Tournament will be held this weekend, December 19-20 at the Student Recreation Center and Kansas National Guard Armory at Pittsburg State University.

President talks about budget

PSU President Steve Scott spoke to university employees Thursday about the most recent budget cuts to come down from the state. The president said the budget reduction announced by Gov. Mark Parkinson on Nov. 23 amounts to just over $91,000 for Pittsburg State.

Broyles retires as head football coach

Representatives of the media, the campus community and friends and colleagues of Pittsburg State University Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Chuck Broyles packed the lower level of the Wilkinson Alumni Center on campus Wednesday, Dec. 2, for the announcement that Broyles is retiring from his position as head football coach.
