Internationally acclaimed guitarist Adam Holzman will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 11, in McCray Recital Hall as part of PSU's 2010-11 Solo and Chamber Music Series.
Holzman, is founder of the Guitar Department at the University of Texas at Austin where, in addition to his active performing career, he heads a thriving guitar studio. Born in New York City in 1960, Holzman began the guitar at the age of 7 and received his musical degrees from Florida State University.
Holzman has performed at the prestigious Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, distinguished New York venues such as the 92nd St. Y, Merkin Hall, and Carnegie Recital Hall, as well as in music festivals and series from Miami to San Francisco, Boston to New Orleans. His extensive international performances have taken him throughout Europe, Canada, Mexico, Central and Latin America.
Tickets for the performance are $12 for general admission and $8 for persons over 65 or under 18.
