International Scholarships
International Academic Excellence Scholarship
The International Academic Excellence Scholarship is for international students attending Pittsburg State University. This scholarship is for international undergraduates, graduates, and graduating IEP students.
New International Undergraduates:
- Applicant must be applying as a new undergraduate and attending Pittsburg State University for the first time
- Applicant must apply for admission and be accepted as a degree-seeking, tuition-paying student
- Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Not eligible: exchange students, government/employer sponsored students, Kansas-Paraguay scholarship students, students in special short-term non-degree programs, IEP students
- Students need not apply for the scholarship; applicants will be considered based on the application for admission
- This is a one-time award, not exceeding $1000 per award
- Awards will be distributed each semester as a tuition waiver

Returning International Graduates:
- Applicant must be entering their second semester of graduate coursework at PSU (students completing foundation coursework will not be considered until after their first semester of graduate coursework has been completed)
- Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) and first semester graduate GPA at PSU of 3.2
- Students need not apply for the scholarship; applicants will be considered based on the requirements listed above
- No award will be given to a student who will have a graduate assistantship for the awarded semester
- Not eligible: exchange students, government/employer sponsored students and Kansas-Paraguay scholarship students
- This is a one-time award, not exceeding $1000 per award
- Awards will be distributed each semester as a tuition waiver

International Students Completing IEP:
- International students achieving the highest grade in the APC level of the Intensive English Program are eligible for this award (typically two are chosen for Spring, two for Fall and one for Summer)
- Students need not apply for the scholarship; applicants will be considered based on the grades in APC level of IEP
- Not eligible: exchange students, government/employer sponsored students, Kansas-Paraguay scholarship students, students in special short-term non-degree programs
- This is a one-time award, not exceeding $1000 per award
- Awards will be distributed each semester as a tuition waiver

International Advocate Scholarship
The International Advocate Scholarship is a service based scholarship. The recipient of this scholarship is required to perform some hours in promoting international programs. This scholarship is NOT available to incoming international students. Only international students who have completed one regular semester at Pittsburg State University with a CGPA 3.25 may apply for this scholarship. Students may download the application form for submission to the International Programs and Services Office.

Malaysian Student Scholarships
Malaysian High Achiever Scholarship
Malaysian students pursuing any undergraduate major at PSU may apply to receive a tuition waiver of $1,000 per semester. A limit of 2 scholarships per year will be awarded.
Criteria:
1. A minimum of 3.5 CGPA in the American Transfer Program, or Student with CGPA of 3.2 to 3.5 with a significant record of active involvement in extra-curricular activities.
2. Recommendation of the ATP advisor.
Condition for renewal: Recipient may continue to receive the scholarship each semester by maintaining at least a 3.2 GPA each semester. The scholarship recipient is also expected to have active involvement in campus activities at PSU.
Malaysian Technology Major Scholarship
One Malaysian student each year majoring in any of our undergraduate Technology majors in the Kansas Technology Center will receive admission at the reduced in-state resident tuition rate. The estimated worth of the scholarship is about $2,500 per semester.
Criteria:
1. A minimum of 3.5 CGPA in the American Transfer Program (ATP), or Student with CGPA of 3.2 to 3.5 with a significant record of active involvement in extra-curricular activities.
2. Recommendation of the ATP advisor.
Condition for renewal: Recipient may continue to receive the scholarship each semester by maintaining at least a 3.2 GPA each semester. The scholarship recipient is also expected to have active involvement in campus activities at PSU.

Honors College Scholarship
The Honors College provides the opportunity for incoming (entering) freshman or junior level transfer students to participate in the most selective academic group at the university.
The application is open once a year and the deadline for the scholarship is February 1st for the following Fall semester. Students are advised to apply for this scholarship together with the application to the university.
