Appointment Dates for
Academic Year 2013-2014
and Fiscal Year 2014
Dr. Lynette Olson has established the dates for academic year appointments:
All new tenure earning allocations and appointments should use the following dates: August 12, 2013, through May 10, 2014
All new full-time non-tenure earning allocations and appointments should use the following dates: August 12, 2013, through May 10, 2014
All returning nine-month faculty will be appointed with the following dates: August 12, 2013, through May 10, 2014
Part-time section appointments should use the following dates:
Academic Year: August 12, 2013 through May 10, 2014
Fall Semester only: August 12, 2013 through December 13, 2013
Spring Semester only: January 10, 2014 through May 10, 2014
Graduate Teaching Assistants should use the following dates:
Academic Year: August 12, 2013 through May 10, 2014
Fall Semester only: August 12, 2013 through December 13, 2013
Spring Semester only: January 10, 2014 through May 10, 2014
New Faculty Orientation will take place on Monday, August 12, 2013 and Tuesday, August 13, 2013
Opening Faculty Meeting will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2013
Faculty Professional Development Day will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2013
IMPORTANT Pay Date Information:
Academic Year appointments will have 20 pay dates (August 30, 2013 through May 23, 2014)
Fall Semester only appointments will have only 10 pay dates (August 30, 2013 through January 3, 2014) **
Spring Semester only appointments will have only 9 pay dates (January 31, 2014 through May 23, 2014) **
**Note: there is a 1 pay period break between the Fall and Spring semester appointments, with no salaries paid**

All returning fiscal year appointments will be appointed with the following dates: June 9, 2013 through June 7, 2014
New fiscal year appointments should be appointed with the following dates: June 10, 2013 through June 7, 2014
Those employed as of Sunday, June 9, 2013 or Monday, June 10, 2013 will receive their first paycheck on July 5, 2013, the first pay date in Fiscal Year 2014. If an actual start date is later than June 10, 2013 wages will be prorated using the fiscal year rate for time worked.
