The emergency contraceptive non-prescription medication, Plan B, is available at the Student Health Services. An appointment is not necessary to dispense Plan B.

Plan B is a backup plan that helps prevent pregnancy after birth control failure. The sooner you take emergency contraception, the better it works. Plan B® One-Step is just one pill, which allows you to get what you need right away. Other emergency contraception requires two pills, twelve hours apart.

With Plan B, you have up to 72 hours (3 days) to prevent a pregnancy. Plan B is not the abortion pill and it isn't a substitute for routine birth control.
