Pittsburg State University’s observance of Hispanic Heritage Month continues on Wednesday, Sept. 26, with two performances by Ballet Folklorico de Topeka. The group will perform at 11 a.m. in Gibson Dining Hall. At 6 p.m., the troupe will stage a larger performance in the Crimson and Gold Ballroom of the Overman Student Center.
“Mexican folkloric dancing is a great way to celebrate the traditions of the Mexican culture and educate our students on the music, art and dance of La Cultura Mexicana and Latina,” said Maria Grothaus, assistant director in the Office of Student Diversity.
The evening performance is free and open to the public.
