Laura Covert-Miller


About

Dr. Laura Covert-Miller is a recreation and therapeutic recreation professor. Prior to joining the Health, Human Performance, and Recreation Department at PSU, Dr. Covert-Miller spent five and a half years living in Omaha, NE. While in Omaha, she worked as a personal trainer, group exercise instructor, and wellness coordinator at various wellness centers and retirement communities specializing in older adults and special populations. 

Dr. Covert-Miller holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation with an emphasis in Recreation Therapy and Corporate Recreation and Wellness, a Master of Science Degree in Recreation with an emphasis in Recreation Therapy from Northwest Missouri State University and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Gerontology from University of Nebraska Omaha.
